Immerse. Wander. Wonder. - Yoga & Meditation Retreat - Sri Lanka - November 2025
Bonus: pay in full before December the 24th to get FREE lifetime membership at CALM (worth £2995) 🇱🇰
CALM welcomes you as we head back to Sri Lanka, once again (yes, there are often monkey's in the garden)!
The luxurious and spacious villa is a 15 minute walk inland from the turquoise blue sea on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Situated a 15 minute ride from the city of Galle, the retreat overlooks paddy fields filled with incredible beauty and wildlife.
Our retreat is hidden away and really is the perfect place for complete relaxation among the sounds of wildlife and the occasional chanting of monks in the far distance.
A significant place of interest nearby includes the UNESCO World Heritage site of Galle which is 4km away from Shalini Villa. If you wish to go further afield (45 mins drive via new highway) and are a garden lover you may enjoy visiting Geoffrey Bawa's garden - 'Brief Garden'.
Other enjoyable things you may like to do are body surfing or whale/dolphin watching at Mirissa beach, releasing a baby turtle into the indian ocean from the turtle farm at Habaraduwa, surfing, snorkelling or shipwreck diving in the aqua marine waters of Unawatuna, taking a catamaran trip on the scenic lakes at Koggala and visiting Cinnamon island, visiting nearby buddhist temples, taking a yoga class or relaxing massage in Unawatuna, hiring a bicycle and cycling inland amongst the paddy fields admiring the gorgeous views or you may just want to relax in the peaceful and tranquil surroundings of the villa.
There are many lovely restaurants in Unawatuna, Dellawella, Talpe or Galle!
There are several optional activities to choose from during the week for those interested in seeing the sights of Sri Lanka. There will be one free day during the week when you can explore further afield on the island or take one of the many excursions available in the area (for example):
- A safari to see the wild elephants in Yala National Park
- A trip to Kataragama, a pilgrimage town in Sri Lanka for Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Veddas
